SKIN PATCH TEST

SKIN PATCH TEST

*We recommend that you do a skin patch test prior to using this product.* We cannot be responsible for allergic reactions.*

If the skin patch is clear, apply a quarter sized serving to a clean face, neck or hands. Massage gently to irritated locations. As a rule, serums are the first products that touch your skin after cleansing for best results. Never apply serums after your moisturizer as thicker creams and oils create a protective layer over your skin and hinder absorption. Lastly, if you intend on applying makeup after this serum, wait 15-20 minutes so the serum can absorb. *In addition, we do not recommend this product to clients with nut allergies.*

Shelf Life

Shelf Life

This serum does not require refrigeration. Storing in a cool area will result in a longer shelf life. We use a gentle preservative (Benzylalcohol-DHA) and never harsh parabens. Shelf life is about 9 months if kept cool.

About Our Ingredients

COLD PRESSED OILS

Our CBD serum is made with fine, organic cold-pressed oils. Cold-pressing preserves the ingredient quality, potency and purity in a way that heat-treating cannot. It helps the oil absorb more easily into our skin too. Cold pressed oils contain rich sources of omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids. They also contain zinc and vitamins like vitamin A, C, E, D lecithin, potassium, and bioflavonoids. Bioflavonoids are naturally occurring substances in plants best known for their antioxidant ability; they work in symbiosis with vitamins to neutralise free radicals in the skin and body.

ROMAN CHAMOMILE

Roman Chamomile helps calm the mind and body, and it has similar effects on the skin. Chamomile boasts anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that can help soothe the skin, reducing redness and blemishes. It can even relieve skin irritations like eczema, psoriasis, and rosacea. The antioxidants Roman Chamomile provides will help boost your overall skin health while lightening the complexion−giving you that glow you’ve always wanted.

SWEET ALMOND OIL

Sweet almond oil contains Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Omega 3 fatty acids, and Zinc. This is the ingredient that helps keep your skin growing and maintaining overall balance. The retinol in Vitamin A works to stimulate the production of new skin cells and smooth out fine lines. As Vitamin A creates new cells, the antioxidant properties of Vitamin E help prevent cell damage and reduces ultraviolet (UV) damage to the skin. Additionally, sweet almond oil has omega-3 fatty acids that work to prevent premature aging and safeguard against sun damage, and help dissolve excess oil. Zinc is the final component of sweet almond oil, and is the essential nutrient for healing acne and diminishing facial scars.

PUMPKIN SEED OIL

The high amounts of zinc and vitamin E also improve skin tone, help wounds heal more rapidly, fight acne and help with skin renewal. The high vitamin, mineral and omega content makes Pumpkin Seed Oil an excellent lifting oil for dry, mature and also damaged skin. The oil helps to support the health and structure of the skin, which reduces the appearance of wrinkles and signs of ageing.

  • Betacarotene: a precursor of vitamin A which we need for healthy skin
  • Vitamins B2 & B3: softens the skin and improves complexion
  • Potassium: helps regulate the amount of water in cells (along with sodium)
  • Magnesium: is an essential mineral for skin health
  • And most importantly, Zinc, which helps with the formation of new skin cells and the production of collagen.

Rosehip seed oil is made from pressing the small berry/fruit that lies underneath the rose flower. Due to its small molecular structure, rosehip oil has the ability to penetrate the deep layers of the skin to stimulate collagen and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. It is also full of antioxidants and has moisturizing benefits due to its high percentage of fatty acids — a whopping 80% to be exact. Rosehip oil contains vitamin A (also found in retinol, the holy grail of anti-aging products), E, C, and omega fatty acids 3,6, and 9, which promote skin cell turnover, skin elasticity, and improve the appearance of hyperpigmentation. Essential acids linolenic (omega-3) and linoleic (omega-6), make rosehip are known for strengthening the skin barrier function (essential for retaining moisture) and boosting collagen (maintains firmness).

EVENING PRIMROSE OIL

GLA (Gamma-Linolenic Acid) is an omega-6 fatty acid found in plant oils. While an overabundance of omega-6 fatty acids is not desirable in our diets this particular type of fatty acid is extremely good for skin. Borage, black current seed, and evening primrose oils contain GLA, which means these oils have unique benefits for skin. Evening primrose oil has about 13% GLA content and 72% linoleic acid, both of which are powerhouse fatty acids for skin health. GLA oil has been used for centuries as a homeopathic remedy, especially useful for skin conditions. Inflammation is at the root of the most common skin issues, like acne and irritation, and GLA benefits have been shown to alleviate the look and feel of inflammation in skin, lessening the appearance of redness and providing a calming sensation to upset skin.
